In Static Shock your mission is to destroy all the bots, and to do that you are equipped with a laser to zap them, have the ability to fly on a glider and wear a cool Matrix styled coat!
Static Shock is controlled by using the standard “A”,”D”,”S”,”W” buttons to move, jump and fly, and space to fire your laser. During the game you are able to collect all the power ups, and there are approximately 5 types of bots to encounter.
Static Shock is nicely done graphically and the soundtrack is especially very well done.
The game has two modes: Normal and hard, which increases the replay value of the game. Though this description may sound violent, the way the game is graphically done, makes it a suitable one for the whole family.
Static Shock definitely is one of the better shooter games out there, and a lot of fun to play. Controlling your character may take a little getting used to (Especially the flying on the glider, which by the way is perfectly animated), but is easy to get used to, so you will be a master in gliding through the air in no time at all. While playing do not forget to pick up the power ups as your glider needs the energy, in order to fly. If it runs out it disappears until it is recharged again. In the mean time your ability to fly will be reduced to the ability to jump only.
